Well said — but it’s clear to me that no data, in our current social state & tech realm, can ever be trustworthy. Why not? The pollution of money underlying & infiltrating it all. Were our society more advanced — more ‘enlightened,’ if you will — these things would take care of themselves. You cannot program for what brilliance-gone-wrong can accomplish — you can’t edit it out — you can’t program for lack of ethics, integrity, morality, etc.

The challenge isn’t so much for our tech, it’s for us — until we deal with these things individually, internally, all tech systems remain vulnerable. Even a democratic Republic like the US was designed to be can’t sustain its integrity in the absence of a strong value system in the ppl. Ben Franklin knew this well, as he said, in effect — we’ve designed it — if you can keep it.
