This is purely logical, once you had the experience of interacting with earth or other planets. They either are - or are embodied by - sentient beings - just like us.

We have many bodily systems that go to make up the one body we view as a single organism. Be they vascular, skeletal, digestive or whatever, they also have their own level of awareness, working together in harmony.

It's only because we're so locked into identifying with our bodies that we've cut ourselves off - unintentionally - from being more expansively aware. Yet, that greater awareness is obviously available. It's something many have explored once they found their way deeper within, beyond being mind-centric.
