The good part is that you couldn’t have seen this coming since it was a fresh & new experience, so you’ve expanded to accommodate, or rather to allow that such ppl exist.

I suspect that this visitor was young. Being beautifully British, you didn’t give her the in-your-face feedback another American may have done. But who knows, she may come across your post & get a delicate dose of that — stranger things have happened. 😆

I find both delicacy & wisdom in how you responded to her. What we resist will only persist until we integrate the gifts it brought. By this sharing, you’ve not only received those back-handed gifts, but given all of us the opportunity to also profit.
