Things get tricky in 3D. Sometimes it helps to recognize that we’re more than just this, the body-mind thingy; truly, much more. Also, when it comes to the mind, we tend to assume the conscious mind is the whole of it, when it’s not, not by a long shot. Heck, the conscious part may be the small one. 😲

Then, too, most will recall, if they stop to consider, that we have both a subconscious & an unconscious mind, but how many either know about or remember the superconscious mind?

It seems we don’t really know who or what we are, which is certainly interesting. This mind thing we take ourselves to be — well, along with the body, of course — is hardly the whole of us. What if it’s but a small part? Well, it could be…

Strange though it may sound, what if we live in a false persona, one that doesn’t begin to contain us? What if that persona has to drop off, fade away, or die for us to awaken to the more core aspect(s) of our being, our Inner Being?

I’m not saying that’s either the answer or a solution to all who find themselves in this not-caring state. Like it or not, we’re each unique, & my answers aren’t necessarily relevant to your current situation — though they may be. Yet, only you could discover that for you. That uniqueness thing, again.

Sometimes, as we’re (perhaps unconsciously, perhaps superconsciously) removing our focus from one aspect of our total Being, we may belatedly discover we lost interest in it. That may come as a not-so-welcome surprise. Okay & oh, well.

It’s also the case that it just is what it is, & the part of us having trouble (or making trouble) with this is most often the mind. It can be most helpful to recognize that we don’t have to be so tightly identified with our mind; we can acknowledge that we are so much more, even if we don’t feel it at the time.

I really enjoy this Jiddu Krishnamurti quote: “Observation without evaluation is the highest form of intelligence.”

And another one, this from Byron Katie: “Life happens for you, not to you.”

Our focus on these — & other uplifting sorts of things of every kind — can & do make a real difference, a notable one. What we’re experiencing is universally a matter of perspective, & we’re free to choose ours, our angle of view.

Another way to say it is that every coin has 2 sides — well, & an edge, but we’ll let that one ride. If we’re miserable, we’re judging things, circumstances, people, the self… and we don’t have to. “Observation without evaluation…”

Life in 3D is hard, at least seems hard at times. Making such a friend of our self as to be kind, loving, compassionate to the self is often a new idea to people, but it doesn’t have to be. If we would put ourselves, how we feel first in our life, we’d be in better shape for the rest of it.

Be kind to you — to the best of your current ability. We can’t rely on life or on others to always be there for us, but we can make it so we’re always there for us, & that counts far more than perhaps we now know.
