There is dark & there is Light. Thanks to free will — & our great Power as Source-in-form (NOT the ego or mind), we get to choose. While there are what we call negative entities — sounds like your boyfriend was harboring & or being used by some of them — they cannot follow us into higher consciousness, higher frequency. They’d explode, vanishing into nonexistence.
A huge aspect of awakening, of The Great Awakening, is us taking our native Power back — which also means taking responsibility for whatever is manifesting in our life. It helps to view it this way with Byron Katie:
“Everything happens for you, not to you.”
It’s all a big blessing, yet one that requires many a perspective shift to perceive. We already ARE — & always have been — That which we seek. We need nothing in the external realm to give that to us. It’s Who/what we are. We just need to awaken to it — yeah, I know, easier said than done.
I’ll make one other suggestion for some viewing material that I found especially helpful in my awakening journey — NOT that I claim to be awakened. In the eternity/infinity that just is, there are no endpoints, just transitions in whatever direction we choose.
That suggestion is to research NDE experiences. I took it up as a hobby, & was truly blessed in exploring the variety of experiences people had on “the other side.” Once you’ve spent one moment, one microsecond there, you’re never the same, again. You realize how the mind can only know about things, can only point to them; it cannot experience them directly, as we do “over there.”
This we call reality, but it’s more like a dream to our Source-in-form Self. It’s a dream we’ve willingly chosen, one we’re eager to experience — but that doesn’t make it as real as we’ve been programmed to believe it is. Perhaps 95% of our education, our socialization, is false. The Belief Systems (BS) are in the way of clarity & discernment, as is the egoic mind.
Heart just Knows. Best to connect up with that at every opportunity, to pay far less attention to what the mind has to say. Oh, it will fight you, yes, out of pure fear, fear of discovering that it isn’t real, that things are not the way it takes them to be. It’s the ego, the mind, that’s frightened by the awakening discoveries, the journey.
You already are divine, it’s just that the ego is in the way of perceiving that. It easily puffs itself up until we manage to lock it into the back seat as we put Heart at the wheel, guiding our course.
All is well, truly well. It may not seem that way, now, but it is. The more you can relax into this idea, eventually this awareness, the more you’ll enjoy the journey. After all, with eternity/infinity as our playground, we certainly don’t want to be bored. ;-)
