Playing the Victim No More

These eyes thru which I hoped to see God are the eyes thru which God sees me — Spiritual Awakening, Bodymindsoulspirit.com

We all play the victim role at times, often without even realizing we’re doing it. Whenever we have fingers of blame pointing anywhere, that’s what’s going on. We’re blaming someone else for our internal or external state; we’re not owning our “stuff.”

Perspectives radically shift as we awaken. The differences are shocking, but only to the mind. Who we truly are already Knows whatever it is, understanding it on a far deeper level.

We helped structure The Matrix in which most of us live by vesting too much trust in questionable places. We didn’t yet recognize or account for the presence, the manipulation of the cabal. We’re getting over that, now.

Stepping out of old beliefs is critical to the process of The Great Awakening. We’re seeing with new eyes.

What do we see? That depends entirely, 100% on us — on what beliefs we’ve allowed to remain. No two people see things the same way. The many who are convinced their perspectives are the “right” ones have a way to go before taking their power back. That trek generally begins with taking full responsibility for the self, for our attitudes, beliefs, words, & actions.

Via consciousness, we’re actually structuring our reality. It’s not that we’re going out & encountering a common “reality,” for there is no such thing. Each version of reality is unique, no two quite the same. We have far more power than we yet realize, but that’s coming along, too.

Feelings or thoughts of anger, helplessness, depression, resentment, etc. — all the negatives — stem directly from our victim stance. Such states are transmuted along the awakening trek. Once we learn to see them as arising from the victim game, we’re in much better shape to just let them go — & they will once we thoroughly release them.

The victim also looks to others for help rather than finding that help that’s always available within. The victim plays an external game, being unwilling to address what’s going on inside. Just as the sources of the victim’s problems are not external, neither are the solutions.

Humanity actually does quite a lot of this; no one is immune. Some work their way through while others remain locked into their challenges, unwilling to release them. For some, the only way they find to get the attention they crave is to act out, negatively. They’re content with that on some level.

It helps when we begin to see this at work in other folks, but let’s be clear — no one can do this work for us nor for someone else. Each one starts by owning their own “stuff,” by which I mean negative energies, thoughts, beliefs, & behaviors. It doesn’t heal until we’re ready to take that walk, to let things go that have been challenging us & bringing us down.

Remember the light switch — how light doesn’t need to fight the dark to extinguish it? It’s time to grow familiar with the concept that darkness is not a thing on its own, but rather the simple absence of light/Light. We choose to let that Light in anytime we like with a shift in consciousness, in perspective; an attitude change.

As Source-in-form, we ARE the Light. Who is willing to own that, to at least accept the possibility? When we do, things begin to change. They must if we are truly emanations of Source. Source/God is no particular being, friends. It’s closer to Truth to see Source as the sum total of consciousness. Source is more a principle than a being.

What are we to do with all of this? Where will it lead?

It will go where Source directs it to go to the extent we choose to allow & align with That. Source wants naught but the best for us all, so that’s a great road to travel, to just let things be. Source in us will speak up, will act with perfect timing. We can trust the Divine Plan.

The ego, the persona, the one we think we are is, from one perspective, a total fraud, an illusory thing that seems to live for a short time. Yet, some never awaken to this during their entire lifetime. Much goes on in the realm of the seemingly invisible, so there are both energies & beings working both for & against us, take your pick.

We get to choose. Our results are displayed in our use of consciousness.

I have no idea what Source gets out of entering into these bodies, these lifetimes where it pretends to be weak, to be ill, to be the victim of so many things. I have learned enough to realize that it’s all good, regardless of the mind’s current take on it. We have other aspects of our Being where we Know these things.

What needs to change in us is first seen in others. Whenever there’s a consistency in the sort of people or encounters we’re having, we can know that is Source sharing something with us, bringing it to our attention. Because we have less investment in other folks, we find it easier to recognize our foibles & failings in them, as their own.

There is no “against” in Source. When there is but One, what is there to be against?

It’s not easy to take full responsibility for our life but that’s where awakening begins. So, rather than being quick to point out what others seem to lack, it’s wiser to look within, to see how that is relevant to us. We magnetized it into our experience; we can begin there.
