Perhaps — yet perhaps not. Another way to look at this is that we can’t give what we don’t have. Absent real, true love for the self, we don’t have it to give. We can’t short-change ourself & expect to get that love from another. Everything starts with the self, the foundation for our entire life. I find our external world to be the reflection of what we’ve got going on, within.

Just imagine a world where we all deeply honor, love, & respect the self. How could war even exist in that environment?
