Page, this is an amazing piece, one I truly enjoyed reading, experiencing. Yes, philosophy has been all but neutered by the mechanistic bent adopted by science. It was once an arm of scientific inquiry, if you will — back when humanity was more aware of & more connected to spirit, to soul, if you will. Many of the historical scientists still cited, today, were also alchemists, though those aspects of their work were kept back from the public.
Philosophy has soul, has heart, cuts right through to who & what we are, as a people, as beings who inhabit the earth. Much of that is lost both in over-intellectualizing & in the whole mechanistic underpinnings of today’d predominant belief systems, IMO. Yet it’s clearly alive in you, & some few others I enjoy reading.
Get all the education (in philosophy) you like, but be sure to go your own way — as you are.
