On the Existence of Separation — Going Beyond Cosmos
Balance Isn’t What We Think It Is
How are we doing at breaking out of our minds? More accurately — since we can only speak for the self — how are you doing at getting beyond the Matrixed mind & groupthink, out into the broader experience?
You don’t have to be able to explain your experience. Trying to do so will only invoke the mind, that aspect of your being that did not have said experience, that only observed, yes? Are you with me, here?
Rather than admitting that those who grok this stuff are not yet in the majority, let’s realize that we’re moving beyond needing to count anything. In the Oneness, there are no separate things, separation being an interesting concept not found at our core, a property of the external realm.
Okay, yes, separation is also useful.
It gives us our whole 3D experience of separate flowers, separate beings, buildings & such. It’s most useful to help us find our particular vehicle in the crowded parking lot. Yes, but. The realm opened to us by separation, by the whole sense & experience of that, is neither the fullness of Who we are nor the “spiritual” realm, the one closest to Heart.
Most of humanity has not yet realized, not yet recalled that to go far in the material realm is the direct result of what goes on within. We’ve yet to accept, en masse, that 3D (or whatever dimension) is the realm of effects, not the realm of causation.
That’s tricky stuff, since we can’t use our mind to go there, oh no. 😲
When the body-mind has been our sole vehicle of exploration, we’re thrown notably off-balance when seeking out awakening, the spiritual or inward journey. For most things, it’s put your mind in gear first, then your body, then off you go! That doesn’t work for this, not at all.
We’re disconcerted to hear that we don’t have to go anywhere, that we’re already “there;” wherever “there” is, lol. We’re discombobulated to hear that we are what we’re looking for — oh, no! That just can’t be! 😨 Surely, they jest. They must be just playing with us. This makes no sense!!
Thus goes the lament of the mind, of course, not echoed by Who we truly are.
That one is not yet tuned in to Heart where no such nonsense is playing. Early on, most of our work is just to step back from the mind to listen & watch it at work; to not be so drawn in that we’re feeling what it’s thinking.
We’re all blessed with the ability to shift from the head into Heart at any time, any point of our choosing. We don’t yet see the deeper choice available, here, however. We mistake our day-to-day mental trek for reality, for cold, hard, factual stuff so real it can only be argued by a fool.
You guessed it; what we don’t yet know is that WE are the one playing the fool’s role, there, from a different perspective.
As an infant in a cradle, we take what we can see for reality when it’s but a smidgen of that. The supine child can peer upward, but what’s unseen is unknown. They cover their eyes & think they’re hiding.
Until we allow for the possibility of the greater, the Heart-accessed Reality, we’re blind to even the idea of an option.
Our habit pattern is to do whatever we do as the body-mind or the ego-mind. The body is at least perceptible, whereas the ego-mind aspect of our being is transitory, illusory at best. It’s that which is demoted along our awakening trek.
It’s not that we go forward, mindless & without ego. That would be the mind’s take on what was said. It’s probably clearer to view it as 2 different perspectives, one taken by the programmed mind, the other as the view from Heart — vastly different, that’s all; not right or wrong, good or bad, just other.
Since these have little or nothing in common, it’s quite a break from all we’re used to as we set off into the interior silence. Our initial forays within last mere seconds, at first, then we’re back in the mind, trying to figure it out. That doesn’t work, so its effect is to keep us locked down in cogitation, in what will eventually be seen as mental masturbation.
I hope you have a sense of humor since looking at the same things but through these different lenses of perception, of perspective, is sometimes graphically humorous. Heart laughs while the mind tends to take itself & its efforts oh, so seriously.
It’s not that “never the twain shall meet,” just not until the mind gets over itself, drops a good bit of its egoic arrogance. Come on, admit it: your mind, just like everyone else’s, tends to think it’s all that & a sundae, besides.
While this is admittedly funny at some points, it’s also germane to awakening. Why? It points out how we get in our own way, blocking our expansion into the vastness. The mind is arrogant because it assumes the bulk of what it “knows” is correct. It thinks it’s pretty smart.
Well, it may be, just not in the realm we’re seeking out.
Awakening is not a mental experience. It’s not the mind that awakens, though the awakening Light shines upon the mind as upon everything else.
Our mind’s smartness in its own realm may be directly proportional to the challenges we face to awaken. One day, hopefully soon, we’ll see how all that knowledge is very much in the way — but it takes a certain openness & a readiness we don’t all yet possess — not to mention a willingness to exit our comfort zone.
Many of our youth master in Underwater Basket-weaving or other such useless skills that bring a null Venn Diagram to the awakening trek. Take the whole gender thing for a potentially explosive example.
Here’s Abraham-Hicks’ take on gender:
Abraham-Hicks Daily Quote — 2019/03/28
“Gender identity” is inconsequential from an Energy standpoint. In other words, when we view anything that is physical, we see the Energy of it, and we note that the Energy of what you call male and female is equal in all things.”

This is just a sample of the distinctly different perspectives available from the mind vs from Heart, from the smallness vs the Allness, self vs Self. We are both, & we’re meant to be, don’t get me wrong. It’s not that mind is bad & Heart is good. That’s just more of the old either/or realm.
BOTH are good, both are wonderful. We’re seeking Balance, not the triumph of one over the other. ☯️ Balance doesn’t mean that mind & Heart are equal; they are not. Heart contains all, mind being but a part of that. This Balance is on a much deeper level.
We have an equal opportunity to make any choice we like, to go in any direction.
Look around; people make all sorts of choices. Meanwhile, the older we get, the more we’re aware that things all have consequences, that what goes around comes around. We find ourselves making wiser choices as we go. We’re more balanced, yes?
Imbalance keeps us out of Heart. It’s hard to go into the inner silence when we’re upset or when we’re too excited about something. When we find ourselves poised quietly within, empty of or successfully ignoring our mind’s contributions, we may actually pop into that inner realm.
This isn’t “awakening.” Awakening isn’t a noun, something you do. It’s a verb, an endless experience filled with ups & downs that grow ever more subtle. Stillness is very much at the heart of it; stillness with respect to the outer world.
Even in the midst of obvious action, we can occupy that stillness. The Masters are there.
The body seems wholly external, physical. The mind has both an inner & an outer experience, the brain being the outer aspect. The inner realm contains all, yet is not limited to “inner” & “outer.” These words reference Cosmos or manifestation, & Heart both contains all of that & more; the unmanifest, that which existed prior to Creation’s “big bang.”
I see this Balance as between & within the realms of the unmanifest & the manifest, i.e., Cosmos. It is certainly transcendent of the body-mind, but so are we so that’s no problem. It’s just that those still self-restricting to the 3D realm can’t have this conversation with us since 3D can’t perceive, much less contain this.
Have you come to the recognition that you know nothing, yet — & that this is an asset, something beautiful? Knowing nothing, i.e., not being attached to the mind’s current perspectives, is the best stance to begin perceiving on a deeper level.
It at least lets us admit this inner Heart realm may exist, while the mind still pounds the table, demanding proof.
Our choice is to listen or to ignore it. It’s really that simple, though much easier said than done. 😉
