Oh, Benjamin — beautiful soul sharing, here. Thank you.

“To be transformed is an experience of dying to your small self, while simultaneously trusting that Something Bigger will bridge the gap to your true self.”

Yes, but yes and. There is also a Dark Night of the Soul type experience, where to call, the necessity, is to give everything up — “dying to your small self” — & that’s all. No promise of anything Bigger — just emptiness.

Have been thru a few of these, myself — they’re harrowing. The leap off of a cliff so high, you’ve no view of the bottom, no way of knowing what’s ahead. A time or two I actually believed I might be dying — well, the body, anyway.

What perhaps I celebrate most about your piece — many good parts, there — is your depth of Peace on discovering the underlying current of the divine in every path. If Source had planted a garden of only red roses, only blue petunias, they perhaps one way Home would have made some sense. But in the midst of humanity’s awesome diversity, this way is perfect. To each his/her own. Works for me ☼
