I LOVE how you closed this article — so very true that the ADHD types are ahead of the game on exercising their enjoyment muscles. We could all learn from them
This is a well-written story that does a good job of pulling back the curtain for those of us not experiencing it, directly. Your examples are great.
Personally, no matter what our condition or conditions, we all have something to share & something to learn from the rest. Together, we make up the greatest thing, the Family of Humanity. We’re not a uniform crop, but a diverse planting whose differences are very much a part of the overall beauty.
I also enjoy the ways you share that display your ability to tune-out the endless mental activity — a real survival skill, lol. Humanity has been schooled to identify with the body-mind aspect of our much greater Being, taking the form to be who we are. It’s just a small slice of Who we truly are, as Source-in-form.
When science measures the energy fields generated by the brain vs those generated by the heart, the heart’s field is far vaster than the mental one. It’s amazing, & I find that carried through into my experience. We all know what it’s like to be in the mind, but not so many have found their way into heart, the different sensation there.
There are 3 hearts, so to speak: the physical organ, the heart chakra, & the higher-dimensional or higher-vibrational Heart, more a portal than anything measurable. A portal into what? Into the great beyond, the All That Is & All That Is Not, or the void, the emptiness.
Via Heart, we discover the two-sided coin akin to the Yin-Yang, the One containing both light & dark. ☯️ All of our seeking is for the one-sided coin of only light, yet who ever found a one-sided coin, & how could it be used? LOL. Balance is, indeed, the better way, at least in my view.
Peace is sourced in many ways, but for me, the greatest way is being Heart-centric or Heart-focused. Only from there does it become easy for me to ignore the offerings of the mind. There are also times of mental silence, an amazing experience in itself.
Anyway, I truly enjoyed your article. Thanks for sharing your trek. 😃
