Good article, an enjoyable read with some meat to it. While I’m down with the bulk of it, the last bit illustrates something lacking : “What if we chose to believe that equality, justice, freedom and prosperity for all were the only possibilities?

What if we chose to believe prejudice, injustice, fascism and greed simply could not be?

Could reality resist us?”

There’s reality, then there’s Reality — we’re not quite in control of the whole of it. This seems uplifting & great, yet may be based on a false premise or two. Envision the Yin/Yang, the perfect, inscrutable balance of that. Who wants only day with never a night? Does night have no value?

We are & we contain both, the Light & the dark, or absence of Light. My goal is to be both in perfect balance. The mind’s ideas around perfection or unworkable. In its desire to eliminate what is dark, it attempts to cut away parts of the self — not going to work.

When perhaps 97% of what we’ve been taught (programmed) to believe doesn’t hold water, we need to take several steps back, sit down in silence, & ponder, letting Cosmos or Source/God or Higher Self — call it what we will — illumine us. We have Inner Senses as well as the physical ones, but they don’t come to the fore until we back off from our belief systems & give them a chance; until we go within.

When the only constant we observe is change, itself, there must be some destruction. Imagine the clutter, should everything created continue forever, never to make room for something new. We’d be, in effect, holding ourselves in the old patterns.

I’d also say that suffering is never mandatory, though pain is. Suffering is a choice, one from which we can wean ourselves. Everything rests on the fulcrum of perspective & Free Will.

As long as we’re free to choose, we’ll make some seemingly wrong choices. It’s our right, & our blessing in disguise, for our “wrong” choices always bring potential growth. They are not bad or negative, Whether we perceive their gifts is another matter, but everything, barring nothing, comes bearing gifts.

It’s up to us what we shall make of it. Therein abides our creative power, which doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

So delighted to participate in what will become known as The Great Awakening, along with you & many other wonderful writers on Medium.
