Good advice, here. I do much the same, but handle one important bit of it differently. I take that call to sleep, that unaccountable drowsiness, as a call to go deeper within. I may not sleep at all, but I go lay the body down, away from all tech, the only thing accompanying me being notebook & pen — just in case an inspiration arises. It often does. That becomes the source, the core kernel of later writing.

We’re all beautifully unique, so no two ways will be the same. It’s fun to celebrate that, enjoying the differences we all provide. These often 5 to 15 minute breaks really recharge my day (or night, as I’m a night owl around writing).
