Between Conscious & SuperConscious

JUST BE

We’re told that our 3D mind or awareness comes in 4 layers. Most of us occupy the conscious mind most of the time. That keeps us free in a way, but also bound. We’re free to explore whatever suits our fancy, but we tend to remain in the realm of externals, a narrow band of what’s available.

We give the conscious mind entirely too much credit, too much power, often neglecting the influential role played by both subconscious & unconscious awareness. We have fun with those while watching a hypnotist perform, amazed at what happens when the conscious mind takes a break.

The conscious mind beats up on us for not fixing things we’d like to change about ourselves, seemingly oblivious that those things are anchored in the deeper layers of the sub- & unconscious. Our focus is almost always outside of ourself; have you noticed?

We talk of exploring Mars when we haven’t yet fully explored the depths of earth’s oceans, much less our own inner depths.

Waking up has a lot more to do with occupying the self/Self than it does with external explorations, though those are also fun. Until we break free of the constant dominance of the conscious mind, we won’t be as free as we’d like to be. Our society pays precious little attention, overall, to superconscious awareness, to going beyond.

Then, when some do head in that direction, they’re in a hurry, still letting the conscious mind drive the car by choosing a shortcut like drugs. We’re not yet very good at just Being, just occupying the NowHere. It requires a certain emptiness that no conscious mind wants to allow. Emptiness & impatience don’t mix.

Just Be. How much of our time do we devote to just being? (When the cat jumps in our lap, are we Present with it; do we pause to connect, to interact?)

What’s in the way of that? Where are we going? What are we in such a rush to achieve? Time is the trickster, here; time that doesn’t really exist, not in the way we believe it does. The speed of light is not a scientific constant to humanity, it’s constant to a certain frequency band. Higher frequency = faster time… or just NowHere.

Think it & it happens or appears. 😲 😆

So what is time? Does it matter? That’s a conscious-mind question, & the answers, the experiences we seek don’t abide there. They go so much deeper. It will take us well beyond where words can go, beyond what they can express. 😶 We enter new realms, literally, but only by emptying out.

The emptiness or void is a mandatory bit of (or avenue into) what we’re seeking, a bit that, if the conscious mind is left in charge, we won’t discover. Before we fill a cup, it helps a great deal if it’s empty, yes? What if all this talk about emptiness by the Buddhas & such was just a way to help us get past the trap (in this case) of the fidgety, overfull conscious mind?

The letting to must come first.

It’s far more important than perhaps we realize. It’s that jumping-off-a-cliff type thing that’s so frightening to our conscious awareness. Jumping into what? We don’t know & we can’t. It does little good to study endlessly, trying to figure out where we’re headed, how to get there. Again, that’s the conscious mind at work, & it’s not the vehicle that can take us into the deeper awakening.

Actually, we’re already there, but that’s beside the point early on. To discipline the conscious mind, we must step into something that transcends it, yes? We can’t use it to discipline itself. Well, we can, but not with satisfactory results.

It’s all too simple. That’s a big part of the challenge for us who’ve been schooled to spend every waking hour under the dominance of our conscious mind. It likes complexity. It enjoys the good feeling of sorting out the challenging questions, solving the riddles.

Without something to do, something on which to focus, it gets uncomfortable; as no doubt you’ve noticed.

Superconsciousness is not something we must earn or attain. Like conscious awareness, it’s something we already have or already are. We just have to find a way to let it be, to shift both our focus & our frequency. In our inescapable uniqueness, there is no one way, no text, scripture, or set of rules that will take us there.

More letting go, right? We search the world over for someone who can guide us, only to eventually discover our true guidance was always within.

Though it makes not a lick of sense to the conscious mind, we already are (& always were) that which we seek. It’s not until we abandon this total reliance on our conscious awareness that we’ll find our way out of this & into That.

Simplicity rocks. We make things far too complex, which is fun until we outgrow it. Let’s quit making things so hard on ourselves as we relax into just being, into Being Who & What we truly are, emanations of the Divine. Let things fall away & they will, quite naturally. It’s all about what we’re ready for in any NowHere point.

We are the only ones holding us back. 😆
